ABOUT US

Honey Helping Hands (HHH) cultivates space for Black and Brown girls, women, and caregivers who too often hold the
worldon their shoulders without enough care for themselves.
Honey Helping Hands envisions a world where we nurture our communities, fortify our bodies and spirits, and grow spaces where recognition, rest, health, and interdependence
are deeply experienced.

vision
To create a world where Black and Brown girls across different communities have access to resources that support their capacity to experience full, thriving, and healthy lives and build lasting practices
of belonging, wellness, physical exercise, self-care, leadership, and learning.

mission
Honey Helping Hands centers Black and Brown girls and the women who raise them by providing resources, services, events, and collaborations that support their health, leadership, connection, and potential: through sports/fitness/nutrition activities, mentorship and education opportunities, wellness practices, network engagements, and community
resource mobilization.

The world strips so much from us, mentally and physically but we all want to feel safe and be heard. Honey Helping Hands is a rejuvenating space for women and girls to be seen and loved on, it’s a center for refuge. Here people can be themselves and let their guard down.

OUR VALUES
intergenerational
care
We see the woman, mother, or girl and what they have to offer in deep, intrinsic value to themselves, to their communities, to the world.
We are an intergenerational community and make space for empathic,
loving connection and
non-judgemental support between younger, middle age, and elder generations.
equity
& access
We listen to your stories, nodding our heads, because they are also
our stories.
We strive to remove barriers—economic, geographic, social—so resources reach all girls, especially those underserved.
joy
as resistance
Celebrating all the shades of Black and Brown brilliance – the diversity
of who we are and what we each bring
to the table.
We make time for togetherness, play, laughter, and wellness
as acts of healing.
collective liberation
Our health is tied to one another;
we rise together.
We build interdependence as a precious and growing resource, connecting girls
and women in our community to mentors, peers, service providers,
and networks.
resourcefulness
& leadership
Cultivating connections, building confidence, leadership advocacy, perseverance and problem solving as practices in intergenerational leadership that is aligned, affirmed, and supported.
OUR OBJECTIVES

Open doors for girls
& women
to play, lead, and heal through sports, fitness & wellness practices especially those within underserved communities.

Support caregivers — mothers, aunties, sisters, friends, and mentors — and their families with resources dedicated to self-care, nutrition, physical health, and
emotional wellness.
Promote leadership, voice, and visibility - building intergenerational mentorship and belonging, learning opportunities, resource directories and exposure experiences
for girls & women to amplify their purpose and grow networks
of solidarity with
one another.

Mobilize lasting partnerships
& equitable resources
so communities can access funding, training, facilities, and opportunities
that exercise
their full potential.
